Ambassadors/
Chamber Development

Georgette Sarles, Chair
  The Committee’s role is to encourage the business community to become and remain members of the Chamber and get active with the various committees and events. As Ambassadors, they will promote the benefits of membership and assist members in networking. They are also referred to as the “Welcome Committee” and assist the Chamber staff at events throughout the year. This is a high energy, highly motivated committee dedicated to their goal of strengthening the membership of the Chamber.
 
Awards & Installation

  The Awards & Installation Committee organizes the Annual Awards and Installation event in June, along with the presentation of the Cypress Business Awards to outstanding and deserving members of the business community. A special video presentation that showcases the outstanding efforts of the award recipients are the highlights of this event.
 
Bowling

  The Annual Bowling Tournament scheduled in May, gives members an opportunity to network while providing a team building experience for their employees.
 
Business to Consumer Showcase

  The Committee organizes the annual event held each spring. Located at Serramonte Shopping Center, the event gives Chamber members the opportunity to showcase their business and services to a wide range of potential customers.
 
Business to Business Networking/ Taste of Our Cities Extravaganza

  A networking event for member businesses, the Business to Business Networking Committee provides a seminar/ workshop for members and their associates that tackles issues like self-confidence, motivation, and sales techniques. The event is held in conjunction with the "Taste of the Cities," where members in the catering & restaurant business are invited to showcase their food.

 
Cypress Business Awards
Executive Committee
  The Chamber's Executive Committee oversees the Cypress Business Awards that are granted to outstanding and deserving businesses and individuals in the categories of Small, Medium, and Large Businesses of the Year, Lifetime Achievement, Leadership, and Golden Apple Award. Nominations are made by Chamber members, and winners are awarded at the Awards & Installations Dinner in June.

 
Scholarship

  The Education Committee has evolved into a high energy team involved in high quality programs such as the Youth Job Fair and Scholarship Awards.

 
Golf

  Held annually, the purpose of the tournament is to bring Chamber members together for a day of fun. A portion of the proceeds go to the “Access to Higher Education Scholarship Fund.”

 
Chamber of Chills

  The Chair & Committee organize a two-week long mini-fair & haunted house in October, a project that serves as a fundraiser, with the goal of raising money to fund Chamber activities. The committee also provides for the annual Halloween spook parade at Serramonte Center, and the Halloween Networking Mixer at Molloy's Tavern.
 
Holiday Soiree

  The Chamber holds a December Holiday Soiree, with the Board of Directors as hosts to the members. It is a time to thank our members for belonging and to relax after a year of hard work.

  This Department is responsible for the creation of the Chamber Newsletters, the Business Directory. Maps, Website, and Comcast. This Committee also oversees the style and content of the website as a service to our members. Staff spends a tremendous amount of time and effort in overseeing the productions of these important publications that serve as communication tools to our members.

  The North San Mateo County Leadership Forum is a twelve week program, starting with an orientation reception and ending with a graduation ceremony for the students. Class courses include public safety, health care, trade and tourism, education, local government, etc., with prominent guests speakers leading each class. The objective of the forum is to educate up and coming business leaders in North San Mateo County , which includes Brisbane, Colma, Daly City, Half Moon Bay, Millbrae, Pacifica, San Bruno, and South San Francisco.
