Welcome to the Daly City / Colma Chamber website!

It is exciting and invigorating to be serving as the President and CEO of the Daly City / Colma Chamber of Commerce as we welcome the brand-new year “2020.” Our chamber has a time-honored history of important accomplishments, in the City of Daly City and the Town of Colma, dating over sixty years. Together, with the vibrant business leaders, who serve on the Chamber board, we are grateful to be a dynamic and trusted partner to businesses. We have a fun and rewarding environment for the business community to come out, network, make new contacts and friends, while learning more about our local business community and sharing the products and services we offer. Businesses make up our community and are the driving force that makes our city, our town, exceptional places to live, work and play. I am grateful to be a part of the Daly City/Colma Chamber that has such a rich history of businesses, volunteerism, and philanthropy!

To take a look back in time, 2019 was terrific. Thank you to the residents, visitors, and businesses for partaking in our business events, namely Consumers Showcase, Business Extravaganza and Annual Halloween Spook Parade and Costume Contest all held at Serramonte Shopping Center. The energy derived was stimulating. Businesses commented on the number of leads and thoughtful conversations they had with other businesses, potential clients, and visitors that stopped by their booths. And, our youth. The quality of education offered our young people is sterling. Next, our youth. They are being accepted and attending top Universities and Colleges in the United States with scholarships and full board. Thank you all for eating crab and donating to the scholarship fund. It is an honor to raise on average $40,000 or more each year in scholarships funding. Thank you, Daly City, and Colma businesses and residents for your generosity. We played together at the annual Turkey Bowl Bowling Tournament at Classic Bowl; and wasn’t there lots of laughter and camaraderie. Not the least, are the businesses who opened their doors for intimate business mixers and red ribbon cuttings. These are gems of opportunities for people to talk intimately, share ideas, and grow.

Branding and being visible is critical. It is important to integrate branding through email, print, networking and social media. Thus, I’m proud to say Daly City/Colma Chamber is the perfect place to blend your advertising. We offer the platform to get the word out and be visible. We know the importance of building relationships and brand awareness, for increasing sales and market share. That is why, we offer top notch opportunities for visibility, ad placement on our website, social media and eNews. Strengthen your brand by networking, advertising, hosting a vignette and/or red ribbon cutting. Be seen and Be Visible with the Daly City/Colma Chamber of Commerce. Join with us and other businesses, take advantage of all of the opportunities we offer, to meet this fast-growing and vibrant business community.

Our Chamber looks forward to 2020, to build community and business, in our fast-paced business ecosystem. There are so many businesses, organizations and associations doing amazing things in our community. It is through partnership and support of local government, businesses, schools, and volunteer organizations that we make our community stronger. We intend to ensure that the entirety of our diverse base, has maximum opportunity to succeed in our cities. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend the Annual Business News & Views Breakfast. It is here that we gather, network, savor a wholesome breakfast and learn about cutting edge technology, retail trends, marketing and communication, health, housing, and safety. Plan on attending February 28th and bring your questions! Speaking of mingling, see you on July 16th, where new and old Chamber members will have a chance to speak one-on-one, laugh together, ask questions, acquire information, and in short, enjoy each other’s company.

We especially welcome those of you who may not have found value in the Chamber in the past, to take a moment to re-introduce yourself, to what this Chamber, all about. It is through our mutual support that employment, tax revenue and quality of life are improved. Successful businesses is the life blood of our community. Our Chamber will educate, communicate and advocate, on behalf of the business interests, small and large, whether members or not. So, we are confident, that you will want to become a member. On another note, the Chamber’s effectiveness is based on your input. Therefore, please share your visions and ideas. Our door is always open to hear from you. We want to know what is important to your business and how the Chamber can assist. After all, your success is our success! Together, we are partners in supporting your mission and your business interest. May I personally invite you to take part in the upcoming Chamber projects and events, so that we may achieve a successful journey. Join the Chamber today. Let’s live, work, play together!
